Here at the terminus of the glacier, the Palisade glacier feeds a small lake. The Palisade glacier lake is full of chunks of ice literally calving from the snout of the glacier, as well as remnants of snow from the winter. The Palisades are a sub range of mountains in California's Sierra Nevada range.
